The Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DCTA) has developed the prototype of a computational system capable of simulating various operational scenarios of interest to the Brazilian Air Force (FAB). The simulation environment can simulate various operational scenarios and is able to identify, describe, model and evaluate the operational capabilities and missions of FAB, as well as foresee setbacks and anticipate decisions that may affect the fulfillment of missions. These simulations will assist in the decision-making process to predict combat results and may also help in the re-evaluation of tactics and applied techniques.
Impacts on Defense and Security: This tool provides important assistance for decision-making, creating a variety of scenarios and by checking trends in the aerospace sector and technological advancements. The exploration of simulation environments allows the intensification of instruction activities, while minimizing the costs.
