Technology has gained great relevance to agriculture over the years. In the administration of a rural property, topographic mapping is indispensable, as it makes possible from the reconnaissance of the terrain to the collection of information for accurate farming. Therefore, the drones (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle – VANTs) have acquired great potential in improving activities in the field. The aerial photogrammetry, which uses airplanes or helicopters, has provided greater clarity in images obtained by satellites. Drones fly and land in an automated manner, using GPS, through system programming carried out by the field team.
Impacts on Defense and Security: The country’s food security could become more vulnerable with the advance of automation in agriculture, insofar as the information captured by the drones is transmitted directly to the data systems. Despite producing greater efficiency in the process, the administration via technology allows greater vulnerability to cyberattacks, which may jeopardize the production and marketing of food.
